The chapel was built in the early 1880's, the previous chapel was sited a hundred yards away on the main Ruthin Road.

The earliest headstone recorded burial in the cemetery states December 4th 1880, at present the last burial was in 2001.

The cemetery contain's 364 headstone inscription recorded burials.

Other burials are evident with no headstone.

Bethesda Welsh Wesleyan Methodist Chapel was demolished in 1995, after having been closed for several years.
